page-breakThe Hellblazers emerged cautiously from their hideaway inside the posh bedchamber they’d teleported into, making short work of the acolytes surrounding the Baphomet statue. More difficult was the High Priest, but after a flurry of attacks, the Grand Magus fell like the others.

Two other figures posed potential threats, but the sorceress Kalanna was quick to flee deeper into the lair, while the necromancer, Avinscarr, was felled decisively, along with a particularly nasty hill giant.

All of this, however, was a prelude to a showdown with a Soul Eater. In what was a tremendous group effort, that saw Braxton cut down then healed by Kelwyn, the party meticulously hammered away at this dangerous foe. Immune to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage, they tried radiant and fire attacks before finally dealing blows that took its measure by inflicting psychic damage upon the baleful creature.

As the party collected loot from their fallen adversaries, Abraxas turned invisible and followed Kalanna past the Soul Eater’s chamber and into a mysterious magical laboratory.

The young woman they were charged to rescue, Fallon Bloodwood, was there, bound against the north wall, while the Guild Magus Travor Resh pried his way into her mind with some complex spell. Kalanna herself was conversing with someone unseen, someone she referred to as “master”…

Feeling the press of time slipping away, the Hellblazers prepared themselves for a grand assault against the kidnappers.

The girl is within their grasp! Will the Hellblazers be able to save her and put an end to Xoblob’s machinations? Tune in next week to find out…
